Self Critique

I feel like some of the shots are shoddy and out of focus. I should of given myself more time to set up shots and places to shoot. Some of the unplanned motion in the shots work to add to the vibe of the documentary though. In some of the audio clips you can hear my mouse clicking, which was unintentional and sometimes ruins the scene. I should of given myself more time to look for resources to counteract this effect, like possibly a better microphone or editing software. Another observation I had while looking over my film is that there is a lot of blank visuals while I am narrating, and again some of it is intentional while others were just last resorts. I could've found images online or created my own graphics to fill in the space, yet again a issue regarding time. Overall I like my script and shot list and therefore my movie in general, there are some inherent flaws, but the comedy I was trying to get across landed as intended most of the time. In the future I will make sure to give myself more time for production and find better resources for filming.

Self Critique

Overall, my group members are proud of this video. Although the comedy presented may be more tailored to those of our friend group, we feel that it is widely enjoyable. Something we would change is we would prepare more next time, location and structure wise. We chose places on the spot and thus were forced to film in random locations, but sometimes this was funny, which was mostly intentional. Further, we would use a more professional microphone next time rather than the camera mic. The audio quality contributed to the comedy at points but a good mic will make it overall more enjoyable. Our wardrobe choices was definitely a high-point of the video, it contributed to the comedy-tone as well as pushed us out of a comfort zones. Our cameraman was a phenomenal choice, he brought many ideas to the shoots as well as his skills, without him the filming would take hours longer. This video was a lot more developed than previous ones we made and ultimately is our favorite.
